There’s a lot of failure recorded in the Bible. One reason
is to warn us. At a crucial moment, Jesus’ followers betrayed, abandoned, and
denied him (Mark 14:27-72). What can we learn?
Warning #1—when I am overconfident.
Warning #2—when I don’t pray in crisis.
Warning #3—when I react rashly.
Warning #4—when I fail the small tests.
However far you have fallen, however deep your denial, know
that God’s grace is greater than all your sin. Jesus' sacrifice is so
powerful, his love so strong, that all who turn from sin and believe are made new.
